Guess The Mystery Model

Scroll to the very bottom of the page for the answer!

In 1927 three of these cars set a new production-car record in Atlantic City by each running 25,000 uninterrupted miles, averaging more than 60 mph. They were built of all-steel bodies and turret tops which made them look to some degree like an armored car. In 1929 an eight-cylinder engine joined the prior six-cylinder, which was dropped after 1930.

Specifications:
Engine: In-line 6 and 8 cylinders
Displacement: 221-353.8 cu. in.
Power: 75-107 hp
Transmission: 4-speed manual
Chassis: Independent front suspension and hydraulic brakes from 1935
Weight: 3,215 - 3,345 lbs
Price: $1,545 - $1,695 in 1930

Answer: It’s a Studebaker, generation 27-42
